De vereniging waar ik lid van ben (de NVSWH)is de enige vereniging waar het enkel en alleen om de Saarlooswolfhond gaat zonder enig commercieel motief. De NVSWH beschikt over de meeste kennis mbt het ras, geeft u als lid een levenslange ondersteuning en garandeert dat, mocht u niet meer voor uw Saarloos kunnen zorgen, deze terug te nemen en te herplaatsen op een goed adres. De gezondheid van de Saarloos staat bij ons op de eerste plaats. Onze honden worden vaak ouder dan 13 jaar. De vereniging bepaalt met welke combinaties er gefokt kan worden. De eigenaar van de teef kan dan kiezen uit een aantal reuen die het beste past bij de teef. Een aantal leden van ons doet mee aan hondenshows maar alleen om het ras te promoten en niet uit financiële motieven. Puppen geboren uit kampioenshonden kosten namelijk evenveel als puppen uit ouders die nooit een show gelopen hebben. Er is geen verschil hierin. Ik durf te zeggen dat wij hebben geen lelijke Saarlozen hebben, het zijn allemaal kampioenen met of zonder titel.
Tot slot zijn we ook een gezellige vereniging.
